My beloved mother died in 2015 of Alzheimer's

At 99, two months shy of Mom Louise's 100th birthday


An inspiration, Mom Louise is the most dynamic and grounded woman I've had the honor of knowing.  We met soon after her son, David, and I began dating seriously.

We'd meet in the city for lunch, or when we visited, she became our entertainment committee chair -- suggesting we do this or do that, right up to the young age of 99. Using her walker as a support, she'd direct us to the most beautiful locales. She'd occasionally take a rest, but committed herself to completing our destinations.

I am honored to have as her as my mother-in-law as I wish Mom Louise her 75th Happy Mother's Day!

p.s. David and I often listen to classical music. Whenever Chopin played, David would say, "Mom would play that piece or the other on the piano." Chopin's Nocturne in E Flat Major was one of her favorites.
