FADE IN:

EXT. BOARDWALK. ATLANTIC CITY. NEW JERSEY - DAY

On the first day of summer, a young COUPLE on their first date are sitting on a bench watching the waves gently roll in, awkwardly attempting to break the silence. 

HARRY So...

Mary Did you know that Atlantic City's boardwalk is the longest in the world?

HARRY Yeah, it's beautiful, isn't it? (turns to Mary) Can you guess the state with the longest name?

MARY (eagerly) No, what is it?

HARRY Rhode Island.

MARY (grins) The smallest state has the longest name?

HARRY Yep. Its official name is the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations.

MARY How about the longest movie title?

HARRY (enjoying the banter) I give up.

MARY Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Hellbound, Flesh-Eating, Subhumanoid, Zombified Living Dead, Part 3.

HARRY Wow! No kidding!

Suddenly, a wave washes a huge object ashore. Nearly everyone on the boardwalk rush to the shoreline, craning their necks to get a glimpse.

HARRY A very unusual looking fish.

MARY Yes, it's the humuhumunukunukuapua'a, Hawaii's state fish.

HARRY (laughing while shaking his head) Right, you're a marine biologist. How in the world do you pronounce it? (beat) Never mind. Are you hungry? I know the perfect spot. 

As they rise,

HARRY I can't resist. Pink Floyd has the coolest, longest song title.

As they walk toward the parking lot,

HARRY Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict.

MARY (laughing) I can't wait to hear it!

EXT. PARKING LOT - DAY

In the lot, one car takes up five parking spaces.

HARRY Unbelievable! A Duesenberg!

MARY The longest Duesenberg ever made.

HARRY How in the world do you know that?

MARY It's a loaner from the museum. I admit, it's a bit over the top. But why not? 

HARRY You're my kind of gal, Mary. How about we make this the longest first date ever?

MARY Oh, Harry, I would if I could, but I promised my baby brother a ride on the Steel Dragon, the world's longest roller coaster.

HARRY You mind if I tag along?

MARY You ready for a trip to Japan?

HARRY Mary, I'm ready for a trip to the moon with you!
