MOUNT OLYMPUS by Petra Michelle
FADE IN:
EXT. ORNATE FOUNTAIN. MOUNT OLYMPUS - DAY
ZEUS stands facing the fountain; his wife, HERA, sitting on its edge. Zeus waves his hand over the fountain. Images of the Tokyo Olympic Games appear in the water.
ZEUS Just in time.
HERA Diving?
ZEUS Greece is next.
HERA There is no better diver than you, my love.
Zeus is fixated on the diver as he dives into last place.
ZEUS I'll be back for dinner.
HERA Where are you going?
In a flash, Zeus disappears.
INT. OLYMPIC AQUATICS CENTRE. TOKYO - DAY
Zeus strides through the Centre, disguised as a spectator. The Greek diver is poised to take his second dive. He shivers as an unusual sensation overtakes him.
Shaking off the sensation, he steps forward on the diving board and springs into the air. His takeoff lifts him close to the Centre's ceiling, as he soars into a forward dive, somersaulting an unheard of 10 times in the pike position, barely splashing the water as he makes entry.
Flanked by reporters and fellow divers, he's stunned by his Gold medal performance. A sexy JOURNALIST standing close to him,
JOURNALIST I've never seen anything like your performance. (grinning) You were like a god out there.
DIVER I had some help.
JOURNALIST From?
DIVER (as he steps closer to her) Shall we talk about it over a quiet, intimate dinner?
JOURNALIST (sensually) Would love to. But what about your wife?
ZEUS Your beauty rivals her broad-mindedness, Hera.
JOURNALIST (giggling playfully) How did you know, my love?
ZEUS (grinning mischievously) I am the King of Mount Olympus after all.
HERA And I?
ZEUS My everything.
FADE OUT
